When Hydrogen peroxide gets on the wound, it reacts with organic matter, causing oxidation and destruction of bacteria, thus preventing infections.
Warning:
Hydrogen peroxide should not be applied to mucous membranes! Not to be taken internally! Avoid eye contact! If you get into the eyes, wash them thoroughly with water.
